Inspection procedures for gasoline service stations:
1. All pumps are checked for bonding.
2. over-all condition, pumps, hoses, etc.
3. safety devices, shut-off valves, etc.
4. Nozzle hold -open devices, if self-service.
5. Fixed fire extinguishing equipment checked.
6. Inspection of heating equipment. -
7. Fire separation of hazardous areas.
S. Garage area storage of flammable liquids.
9. Bathroom areas.'
10. Location of underground tanks and vents.
11. Location and placement of dumpsters.
12. If self-service, attendant to oversee operation and safety
of customers.
13. Proper safety signs around pump area.
SITUATIONS WHICH WOULD REQUIRE A SECOND INSPECTION
1. Fire investigation.
2. Improper filling of unlisted containers.
3. violation found on previous inspections.
4. Complaints from tourists/citizens regarding unclean bathrooms.

The Police Department already chargesfor docnment
copying, concealed firearms permits, false slams and
perking violations.
I do not believe that we. would be justified in
charging for the occasional background review we do
for other city licensing efforts.
To offset what it actually costa us, you may want
to add an additional two dollars ($2.00) to the cast of
processing the applications. That would cover our
administrative costa.
