Commentary:
Eaton, Peabody, Bradford s Veague, P.A. ('Developers")
have an Option on Parcel B-13 (located on Exchange St.) which
requires the development of a four story building containing not
less than 60,000 square feet of office and commercial space with
65 on-site parking spaces ata cost of not less than $5.5 million.
The Developers are requesting approval of a change in design to
a seven
story plus penthouse building containing 115,256 square
feet with two parking decks over Kenduskeag Plaza providing 399
parking spaces. Since the revised plan exceeds the minimum
requirements of the Option Agreement, the Developers are requesting
only approval of preliminary plans which would allow them to proceed
with the development of final plans. The community and Economic
Development Committee reviewed the plans on March 7thandvoted
to recommend approval.

BBBOLVBD. THAT WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Option Agreement between
the City of Bangor and Eaton, Peabody, Bradford & Dengue, P.A. dated
October 3, 1988, preliminary plans for the development of City
Community Development Parcel B-13 located between Exchange Street
and Eenduskeag Plaza have been submitted for City Council
consideration and approval; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plans have been reviewed by
the Community and Economic Development Committee and have been found
to conform to and exceed the provisions of the Option Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the preliminary
plans submitted by Eaton, Peabody, Bradford & Veague, P.A. by cover
letter dated March 6, 1989 and prepared by Webster-Baldwin-Rohman-
Day-Czarniecki, P.A., copies which are on file in the office of the
Department of Community and Economic Development, are hereby
approved.
