HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-02-26 18-125 Resolve 02/26/201818-125 02/26/2018 18-125 Parks & Recreation Resolve N/A Title, Resolve Accepting a Donation from Maine Trailer Sales and the Bangor Noon Rotary to Repair and Renovate the City's Wenger Trailer Stage and Appropriating up to $9,000 from the Parks and Recreation Reserve Fund This resolve authorizes the City to accept a donation of materials and labor from the Bangor Noon Rotary and Maine Trailer Sales of Hampden to repair and renovate the City's Wenger Trailer Stage and appropriate up to $9,000 from the Parks and Recreation Reserve Fund. If approved, Maine Trailer Sales would provide materials and labor to perform the necessary mechanical repairs which has an estimated value of $8,900 plus other in-kind contributions. The Rotary would provide labor and materials for the needed aesthetic repairs and renovations. The City would provide up to $9,000 from the Parks and Recreation Reserve. Government Operations Committee 02/21/2018 Recommend for passage 50 First Reading 02/26/201818-125 CITY OF BANGOR RESOLVE 02/26/2018 18-125 Supica Accepting a Donation from Maine Trailer Sales and the Bangor Noon Rotary to Repair and Renovate the City's Wenger Trailer Stage and Appropriating up to $9,000 from the Parks and Recreation Reserve Fund WHEREAS, The City possesses a portable trailer stage that is used for a variety of community and City events and; and WHEREAS, The stage is in need of repair and renovation to ensure its continued use in a safe manner and; WHEREAS, Maine Trailer Sales and the Bangor Rotary have offered to assist the City to repair and renovate the stage. NOW THEREFORE, be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the donations from Maine Trailer Sales and the Bangor Rotary are hereby accepted. Be it Further Resolved that up to $9,000 is hereby appropriated from the Parks & Recreation Reserve to fund a portion of the repairs.
