HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-12-12 89-29 ORDINANCEDate 12-12-88 on Item No. 89-29 Item/Subject: Amending Chapter FIT, Article 6, Section ] of the Ordinances of the City of Bangor - Discharge of Firearms, Responsible Department: Commentary: The purpose of this amendment is to probibit Ne discharge of firearms within the boundaries of the City of Bangor. The only exception under the proposal relates to military and law enforcement activities. Currently the discharge of firearms is regulated by the creation of two districts. In zone 41 the discharge of firearms is prohibited except for limited purposes of protecting livestock or crops. In Zone k2 the discharge of firearms is permitted subject to the requirement of obtaining permission from the property owner in writirg, and subject to further conditions relating to distances from public ways and dwellings.
