Such meters be time zone regulated consistent with the locations and time zones described on Map BE IT ORDERED THAT necessary ordinances be developed that establish a new system of 30 minute, one hour, two hour and four hour time zones for on street parking. The locations of such zones are displayed on Map "C" of the parking report. BE IT ORDERED THAT currently designated on -street loading, taxicab and box zones be consolidated into a single loading zone classification and locations established on Map "8" of the parking report. Councilman Page 2 BE IT ORDERED THAT an additional nine on -street handicapped parking spaces be located at geographically dispersed locations within the Downtown Parking Management Area. BE IT ORDERED THAT additional and clearly marked signage be installed which will direct parkers to the Pickering Square Garage, Abbott Square Lot and other off-street parking facilities. BE IT ORDERED THAT approximately 28 two hour time limit metered spaces be established at the Columbia Street Parking Lot. BE IT ORDERED THAT approximately 24 two hour time limit parking metered spaces be established on the upper level of the Hammond/Columbia Street Parking Deck. BE IT ORDERED THAT the fallowing fees be established within the Downtown Parking Management Area: (1) 4 hour parking meters S.25 per hour (II) 2 hour parking meters $.25 per hour (III) 1 hour parking meters $.25 per hour (IV) 30 minute parking meters $.25 per 1/2 hour (v) Pickering Square Garage (monthly) $35.00 (VI) Upper Abbott Square (monthly) $30.00 (VII) Other Off-street Lots (monthly) $30.00 (VIII) Upper Abbot Square - (rear) Overnight (6 p.m. -B a.m.) $15.00 (IX) Short Term Parking - Abbott Square/ Pickering Square Garage let hour free then $.25 per hour BE IT ORDERED THAT the City of Bangor work closely with the Bangor Center Management Corporation and downtown business People t0 promote public parking facilities, the merchant validation program and the first hour free parking options at Pickering Square and Abbott Square. BE IT ORDERED THAT a system of requiring a fee -in -lieu -of Providing required parking spaces within the Downtown Parking Man- agement area be developed and incorporated into the City of Bangor land development code.
