Item/Subject: Authorizing Payment to MOT - Bulls Eye Bridge Sidewalk

Commentary:
The City of Bangor previously requested that a sidewalk be added to the
proposed new Griffin Brad Bridge over Kenduekeag Stream, and the Maine
Department of Transportation agreed to include it in the bridge design,
provided that the City would pay the cost. The cost is new estimated
at 319,741.00. based upon actual bids received.
It is proposed that the funds be transferred out of an existing balance
Is the Stillwater Gardens Subdivision account, 52-60-20 (5227) and the
Public Marks Security Pence account, 52-60-20 (5261), both projects which
have been completed.

BY the City CSJUNOB of the Cit of Deeper:
ORDERED,
ME, WHEREAS, the Maine Department of Transportation is presently
replacing the Bulls Eye Bridge across Kenduskeag Stream on Griffin Mad; and
WHEREAS, under a previous Memorandum of Understanding the City of
Bangor agreed to pay for the installation of a sidewalk on maid Bridge,
the dost iof which via originally estimated to be $18,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the actual coat. based upon bids received, has been determined
to be $19.741.005
NOW. THOUFORE-, Be It.
ORDERED, THAT the Finance Director be and hereby is authorized to pay
to the State of Heine Department of Transportation the am of $19.741.00,
said funds to be transferred from accounts 52-60-20 (5227) and 52-60-20 (5261).
