Ch_apj: ;11, Art. 6, Section 2 0£ the Ordinances -- closure of Parking Lots and Areas Responsible Department: Police Commentary: The City has received numerous complaints of loud, unruly gatherings of people and vehicles i city -owned parking areas. These incidents a occurring during the evening hours, often times after the 10:00 p.m. curfew has closed the city parks. This Ordinance would allow police officers to "close" city - owned parking areas to the public when those a were being used as hangouts for loud, disorderly or illegal gatherings. Such Directive may be issued upon a determination that the persons using said parking lot or parking area e participating in acts of Vandalism.
