The Planning Board at its regular meeting of May 7, 1990, held
a public hearing on the above zone change request..
'Bob Ziegelaar, the applicant spoke in favor of the proposed
change from C 5 I to R -l.. No one spoke in opposition.
The Planning Staff recommended approval of the proposed change
as it was consist xt with the City's land use Policy in this
area (for low-density residential use)and it was also consistent
with adjacent zoning.
The Planning Board voted -4 to 0 in favor of a motion to
recommend to the City Council that the zone change request
contained in C.O. y 90-164be approved.

a. Applicant requests a change from Civic and Institutions', to
Residential I for rcontaining in axcess of two acres
fronting on KenduskeagAvenue.
Is. The City's land use policy for the Kanduskeag Avenue front-
age in this area in for low-density residential use. Also,
there is Residential zoning south and adjacent to this
parcel and directly across Kenduskeao Avenue from it. There-
fore, since the application is in keeping with the City's
land "as policy and in keeping with the zoning of the area,
Staff would recommend that the Planning Board recommend this
zone change to the City Council.
