(khrt-,_--- Authoriz"citY Manager To Apply for. mine Haste Management _,_,;_g,vcv Cavi[al Investment Grant By 1ho City Connsil of City of Bangor: ORDERED, - THAT WHEREAS, disposal of solid waste is becoming increasingly more expensive and reduction of the waste stream through expanded recycling efforts must be achieved, and WHEREAS, State Grant Funds are available through the State Waste Management Agency to purchase recycling equipment. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ObEREB THAT the City Manager be authorized to file an application to the Maine Waste Management Agency Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling for a Capital Investment Grant in an amount not to exceed $240,000 to purchase additional recycling equipment and facilities. STATEMENT OF FACT: The overall Capital investment cost is expected to be no than $320.000.
