Stillwater, Old Town and Milford; there was also anection along Harlow Street and Exchange Street to the riverfrontcOv Theoute would be marked with stones ranging in size from 2' x 2' to 4'.x 4'e marked with a distinctive "V". a stone in the center of Broadway Park would also have a plaque which would give a brief description of the history of the railroad. Railroad By CRY Cesium! of the City of Deeper: ORDERED, TUT , WHEREAS, the Cole Land Transportation Museum has researched the former location of the Bangor, Piscataquis Caval and Railroad Company, only known as the Veazie Railroad, which existed between 1836 and 1869, and which extended between Bangor and Milford; and WHEREAS, said Cole Land Transportation Museum desires to place permanent stone markers at various pointe along the farmer route of said railroad, including the Intersection of Barlow Street and Park Street, 1, Broadway Park near the intersection of French Street and South Park Street, near the center of Broadway Park adjacent to Broadway, in Broadway Park near the intersection of Stillwater Avenue and Pine Street, and on the north aide of Milford Street; "HOW, TPEREPORE, Be 1t' ORDERED, TEAT permission be and hereby is given to the Cole Land Transportation Museum to place the stone markers in the locations indicated, with the exact location and site of the stone markers to be approved by the City Engineer. - In City Council December 2311991 Passed city C1 9Y55 0RDC R' TAwrbvfnC Placemen. of Stone Markers Location of Veazie Railroad ........................... 4........., ........ ......... .............. ....
