' RAPPnmF4le paP®rnnsrl: Community and Economic Development Commwrgvp: City -Staff has been discussing the possibility of offering a discount in Parking Permit fees for larger vol me, purchasers. This option was generated through discussions with a large downtown employer. The Municipal Operations Committee recommends that the City adjust the existing fee structure to provide a 10% discount for a single entity or company which purchases a minimum of 50 Public parking permits a month. Furthermore, this discount shallonly be applicable to entities which purchase permits from the . City and in turn make them available to their employees. By W Oft OowW of tlu Clb of Baayar: ORDERED, TWT WHEREAS, the City of Bangor encourages larger employers n downtown Bangor to address the parking needs of their employees; and WHEREAS, the City of Bangor wishes to provide an incentive for large volume purchases of monthly parking permits; and WHEREAS, It is desirable to shift the administrative responsibilities of selling such permits. THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED THAT, inaccordance with the provisions of Chapter III Article 6, Section 6- ' f -Street Parking Permits, the City Manager shall establish a ten percent discount from the established permit rates for single entities which purchase a minimum of fifty parking permits per month at Abbott Square, Pickering Square rage and designated off ora -street parking a within the Downtown Parking Management Area.
