Article 6 - Parking Responsible Department: Engineering Commentary: This ordinance amendment was initiated as aresult of tickets which vera recently give out at the Bangor Municipaln Golf Course to persons parked the gra area between Webster Avenue and the Parking Lot, sapractice which has been in effect since the Golf Course originally opened, but which is technically in violation of the existing Ordinance. This amendment would allow the a of that area for temporary overflow parking when the Parkin Lot is full, z and could apply to other park areas where occasional festivities may require that vehicles temporarily be parked off the street. In the case of the Golf Course Parking Lan is is estimated that it's capacity is aceeded three or fou[ times a eek, and the present alternatives would beteither (1) build a expensive off-street parking lot expansion which would be utilized a small proportion of the time. or (2) farce golfers away from using the Municipal Golf Course.
