ORDERED. -
THAT
THAT in accordance with 30-A M.A.S.A. S 2104(1), the Bangor City
Council, by adoption of this Order, does hereby determine that a
proposed amendment to the Bangor City Charter, a copy of which is
attached, providing for the change in the date of the regular
municipal election from the Tuesday following the first Monday in
November to the second Monday in October of each year should be
considered; and be it further
ORDERED,
THAT the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed, in
accordance with said g 2104 to take all necessary and proper action
for purposes of providing notice to the public of a hearing on said
proposed amendment, said hearing to be held by the Bangor City
Council on , 19_ at in Che Council

AMENDMENT
THAT the first paragraph of Sec. 1, Article IV, Bangor City
Charter, is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 1. Date of elections and procedure to determine
sults. At the first election after this Charter is
in force, to be held on the first Monday in December
A.D. nineteen hundred thirty-one, the qualified voters
of the City shall ballot for nine councilmen, and the
qualified voters of each ward shall at thea a time
ballot for a warden and a ward clerk for this ward, and

e€-Mewem6ee the second Monday in October in each year
a regular municipal election shall be held and the
qualified voters of the City shall ballot for councilmen
to fill the office of the councilmen whose terms of office
expire that year, and the qualified voters of each ward
shall, at the same time, ballot to fill the office of
warden or ward clerk which shall expire that year.
Wardens and ward clerks shall be elected in alternate
years for a two-year term of office.
