Committee, this itemxrould increa5e the minimum fine for violations
of the City's handicapparking provisions from $100.00 to $200.00.

(1) THAT Chapter III, Article 6, Section 4, Subsection 4.2 of the
Ordinances be amended by adding a new third paragraph, as follows:.
Loon conviction, a minimum fine of One Hundred
Dollars (5100.001 shall be imposed for each
violation of this subsection. For any second
or subbseauent violation
the same person within a six-month Period, a
mrinimums fine of Two Hundred Fifty
($250.001 shall be imposed.
(2) THAT Chapter III, Article 6, Section 7, Subsection 7.4 of the
Ordinances be amended as follows,
7.4 The waiver fee for any person accused of a
violation relating to handicapped parking shall
be Fifty One Hundred Dollars f$50,0" !$100.00)
if paid within thirty(30) days of the alleged
offense, and Bee Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00)
thereafter. For any second or subsecruent violation
by the same person within a sfxtmonth period. the
waiver fee shall be Two Hundred yi£ty. Dollars
f$250.00) if. Paid within thirty (301 days of the
alleced offense

RE: Ordinance Amendment - Handicapped Parking
Attached please find a Council Ordinance prepared in
response to discussion at the Municipal Operations Committee
meeting on Tuesday, August 18th. It was not ready in time for
placement on the regular agenda. If the Council feels it i
sufficiently urgent, you may wish to suspend the rules to permit
first reading at tonight's meeting.
