This Council Order provides an easement allowing Bangor Hydro
to place utility pole double anchors at two locations on City -owned
property on the northwesterly side of lower Main Street. These anchors
are ceded for the support of t w poles which will be installed to
upgrade BEE lines in conjunction with construction of the Secondary
Treatment Plant Complex. A sketch showing locations of the anchor
easements Is attached. _

ORDERED,
THAT Edward A. Barrett, City Manager, be and is hereby authorized and
directed on behalf of the City of Bangor to cute an easement Agreement
with the Bangor Hydro -Electric Company to install utility pule double anchors
at two locations on City -Owned property located on the northwesterly side of
lower Min Street. Said anchors will be for the support of two utility poles
to be placed within the lower Main Street right-of-way, located approximately
250 feet and 650 feet northeasterly of the Bangor-Hampien Town Line.'

the Owner in fee simple of certain land* located in the City of Bangor,

corporation, located in the County of Penobscot, and State of Maine, being
the owner in fee simple of certain lands located in the City of Bangor,
County of Penobscot, State of Maine, and described as follows, viz:
Being the same premises conveyed by The Inhabitants of the Town of
Dover-Foxcroft to Thaddeus F. Stimpson at al. by deed dated May 21,
1947, and recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in
Book 1266, Page 361] the Grantor herein acquired title to the said
premises by virtue of an unpaid tax lien dated May 24, 1978 and
recorded in said Registry in Volume 2864, Page 324)
for consideration given by BANGOR HYDRO -ELECTRIC COMPANY, a corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the state of Maine and having its
principal place of business at 33 State Street, Bangor, County of Penobscot,
State of Maine, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby give,
grant and convey to said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company, its successors and
assigns forever, the rights, privileges and easements to construct, maintain,
operate and upgrade from time to time on said lands, for utility purposes,
four anchors and guy wires with the necessary fixtures and supports, as the
location of said anchors are now staked out as follows:
Anchors 1 s 2 - Being opposite of and within 15 feet and 20 feet
respectively from existing utility pole numbered a4, said utility
pole #84 being located within the bounds of U.S. Route lA (Main
Street) and adjacent to its northwesterly side and approximately 250
feet northeasterly of the Bangor -Hampden town line.
Anchors 3 L 4 - Being opposite of and within 12 feet and 16 feet
respectively from a stake driven into the ground and marking the
location for the placement of a utility pole, said stake being
located within the bounds Of U.S. Rollie lA (Main Street) and
adjacent to its northwesterly side and approximately 650 feet
northeasterly of the Bangor -Hampden town line.

from time to time, with permission to enter upon the said lands for the above
purposes) further granting to said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company, its
successors and assigns, the power to assign to others, in whole or in part,
any or all of the rights, privileges and easements herein set forth.
