Mav 10,I 1993 Item No. 93-25_9 _ Item/Subject: Engineering Services Contract with Boyle, Tanner S Associates for Terminal Corridor Addition s Passenger Boarding Bridge and the Purchase of Runway Deicing Equipment 6 Tank. Responsible Department: Airport/Purchasing Commentary: Hoyle, Tanner 6 Associates, the Airport's design and engineering consultant has proposed an engineering and construction administration services contract for a terminal corridor addition and boarding bridge and for deicing equipment. These items have been approved under the FAA's Airport Improvement Program JAIP No. 3-23-0005-15) for the federal fiscal year October 1, 1992 through September 30, 1993. The budget for the boarding bridge project is $501,150.00 and the coat of the deicing applicator and storage tank will be $191,650.00. The passenger boarding bridge and second level corridor addition to serve the loading bridge is being funded with 75% FAA, 58 State DOT and 208 Airport funds. Hoyle Tanner 6 Associates has subcontracted with the Ames Corporation for the corridor design and bearding bridge installation since Ames has been heavily involved with the Terminal Additions 6 Renovations project. The sub -contract consists of approximately $30,500 in design and construction administration services. The purchase of the runway liquid chemical deicing fluid applicator truck and the installation of the 10,000 gallon storage tank is being funded 908 FAA, 58 Maine OOT, and 58 Airport funds. This $]],200.00 consultant engineering contract has been reviewed and approved by the FAA. A summary of the consultant services fees is as follows: 1. Design a. Terminal 31,500 b. Deicer 10,650 2. While waiting for FAA s and approval of this contract Hoyle, Tanner S Associates ehas wcompleted most of the project design requirements. The following Council Order for authorisation of the City Manager to execute the contract will be presented to the Airport Conmd.ttee on May 7, 1993 and referred to the city Council for approval.
