Department of Transportation has determined that the Penobscot Bridge is in a deteriorated condition and must be replaced by a new structure; and WHEREAS, the Maine Department of Transportation has requested that the Cities of Bangor and Brewer establish a Joint advisory committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT, the City's Community and Economic Development Committee appoint eight embers to represent the City of Bangor on said Committee to review alternatives proposed by the Maine Department of Transportation and make recommendations to the City Councilors of Bangor and Brewer.
