Item/Subject: Acceptance of Forfeited Bonds from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency
Responsible Department: Police
Commentary:
Detective Castle of the Bangor Police Department was involved in
the MUnk 1992 marijuana eradication flights.
As a result of these flights in Lincoln County a person was charged
with a criminal drug violation and $18,000 was seized.
Because of this department's participation we are entitled to
receive a portion of that money. The actual amount is unknown at
this tine. The Council must provide an order accepting any funds
in order for the process to continue.
