HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-01-11 93-98 ORDERCOUNCIL ACTIOM Item No. 93-98 Date Janus" 6, 1993 Item/Subject: Order Approving a DFAS Development Program and Submitting the Program to the State of Maine Responsible Department: Community a Economic Development Commentary: Legislation passed at last October's special session of the Maine Legislature approved a financing mechanism should a Maine community be selected to host a DFAS center. The legislation called for a DFAS development program to be approved locally, after a public hearing, and submitted to the State for final approval by the State Legislature. As specified for in the legislation, the DIM development program consists of a description of the project, a financial plan which identifies project costs and revenues resulting from the DFAS project and other items which will describe the DFAS Financing Program. During Monday's hearing, staff will present a detailed review of the DFAS Development Program.
