Item No. 93-68
Date December 28. 1992
Item/Subject: Authorising Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed
-- Real Estate Located at 236 Birch Street
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary:
The purpose of this Order is to release any interest the City may
have in the real estate described in the Order by virtue of an
undischarged municipal tax lien on record in the Penobscot Registry
of Deeds for the year 1969. At the time the taxes were paid in
1973 a deed was given to the taxpayer. Apparently, the deed was
either lost or destroyed and never recorded in the Registry of
Deeds.
