I have been a resident of 199 Parkview since May of 1983. In
this time period, I have noticed and sometimes almost been
involved in near accidents at the top of the.hill on Parkview
Ave., this being located between the intersecting streets of Mt.
Hope Ave. and Garland street. As you crest this hill from both
aides of the street, there is a blind spot which doesn't allow
you to see any possible approaching traffic from the other aide
of the hill. When you have vehicles parked on this road on either
aide of the street, or both sides you have a very dangerous area
for vehicle traffic. This is also compounded by the fact that
some drivers me= to purposely speed up to crest this hill. My
opinion is that they do this to see if they can get their vehicle
to go airborne. There are young children who play in
this area. To prevent any serious accident or loss of life in
this area, I suggest that "No Parking" signs be placed on both
sides of the hill from the base of the hill to the creat of
the hill. The only other suggestion would be that if any road
construction is ever budgeted for this area that the crest of the
hill be leveled or flattened out to allow visibility to motorists
approaching from both aides of the hill.
Any consideration in this matter would be appreciated
QR,espectfully,
