REe State Street Parking
Dear Gary:
94-165
Regardingrecent conversations abc¢.it the parking situation
or lower StateStreet, places a rat this as a formal request
to implement the followinp chaneese
1) Replace current "No Parking" zone between Bangor
Merrifield and Harlow Street with timed parking.
2) Establish s malar timed parking outside Bangor Savings
Hank. (These space=_ are cur r ant 1p unmar ted.)
Until rzi the spaces referred to in 41 above have been
unmarked a sulk ofths 1992-1993 read rainairs
n this area.
Shrine that time these spaces
used withoutthreat gf park-
ing tickets and without any roticeable disruption of the traffic.
flaw. In fact, several of the local businesses (including this
establishment) were parking in the same
space all day. While
this w in this extreme, net fair tootherpotential parkers,
neither is it fair to bar everyone from parking in this a
This especially ally s considering g that timed parking ail -
able at every other ],cation in the triangle formed by State,
Harlow and Central Streets. (The two latter having parking spaces
right no in the intersect ions:,,)
I could present additional rati, nile for making the changes,
but I trust you will agree that this reenact is logical, fair
and long past due.
1, and no doubt other merchants, would appreciate Your efforts
in g that the necessary steps are taken to effect these
changes.
Please let me know if there is any other assistance
which I can provide.
