The Penobscot County District Attorney's office has proposed that the firearm, a Harrington 6 Richardson 12 gauge Shotgun, Topper Model 58, serial W218046, be awarded to the Bangor Police Department for its investigation and assistance in the case. The attached Council Order would authorize the acceptance from the State of Maine to the City. Said firearm shall be disposed of in accordance with state law and any further Orders of the Maine District Court. The City Solicitor is authorized to execute all necessary documents reflecting municipal acceptance of the forfeited firearm for. filing with the Maine District Court. This forfeiture action concerned a firearm which was seized from the Defendant, along with a a marijuana. Since the Bangor Police Department investigated this case, we propose that the Department receive the firearm. Please present this matter to the City Council so that the firearm can be transferred to the Bangor Police Department. Please return the form to me for filing with the Court.
