to fund the Sexually Tranamittej
Disease Clinic and the HIV Testing and Support Services. The amount of this
years grant is $96,900. All of these funds are
from the Federal Government
passed through the Department of human Services.
Other clinic functions are
supported by clinic fees and donations from local
municipalities.

authorized and directed to execute a.Grant Agreement with the Haine
Department of Human Services, a copy of which is as file in the Office
of the City Clerk, and to fake all other necessary action. including execution
of documents and contracts, for the purposes of providing services to patients
seen at the Bangor SM Clinic.

All persons receiving clinical services at one Clinic will be advised of personal
risk fo- HIV infection. Them at high risk will be advised to accept HIV counseling

Since February, ISM Ne Clinic has participated in an XIV swopraveler¢e study
in which all Clinic patients presenting for clinical services For the first rise have
had Nier blood included in a blinded s very testing For HIV Antibody. The goal of
this paject is to determine the prevalence of HIV infection in the SIB Clinic
papulation. This study is being conducted at all M Clinics in Maine as part of
a national CBC project.
As an alternate teat site, the Bangs' STO Clinic provides anonymousem

confidential HIV antibody counseling and testing to help determine passible 1nFectien
wish XIV. The test includesindivicuallxed education about HIV, AIRS, the test am
