ORDERED,
THAT
the City Manager is hereby authorized on behalf of
the City of Bangor to accept anoffer from the U.S. Department of
Labor in the amount of $73,905 in full settlement of all claims of
the City of Bangor arising out of the United States' acquisition of
reserved parking and access rights of the City of Bangor, in
connection with the Department of Labor's Penobscot Job Corps
expansion project at 1375 Union Street. The City Manager is
further authorized to execute all necessary releases and settlement
documents, such documents to be in a£orm approved by the City
Solicitor.

Please reference your letter of December 14, 1993 and subsequentphone convemefieec with Mr.
Mike Pugh of DMIM/HTB. We have reviewed the City's most recent propoml for the
relinquishment of the parking la ocresa easement at the 1Rnab=t Job Corps Center.
In en effort to being dus matter w closure, pleaw allow this later to serve as an offer an behalf
of the Department of tabor (DOL) to provide eoa uderetion w the City of Bangor In the amount
of $73,905 for the release of the easement. We hope that this soxtwr can be brought to the City
Council for approval u soon as possible subject to a recommendation of aeceptance from your
office and the office of Community and EMIlandc Development.
