RESOLVED, that the sum of $7,757,995.79 be appropriated for the foundation allocation for
school purposes for the year beginning July 1, 1994 Red ending June 30, 1995.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will raise and appropriate as the IoW share of the
foundation allocation the sum of$7,542,578.2] for the year beginning July 1, 1994 and
ending lune 30, 1995 under the provisions of 20-A MRSA 15614.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will raise and appropriate $661,429.81 as the local
share of debt service for the year beginning July 1, 1994 and coding June 30, 1995.
RESOLVED, that the City of Bangor will mise and appropriate $6,193,902.00 as additional
local funds under the provision of 2M MRSA 15614.
RESOLVED, that the sum of $120,249.W be raised and appropriated for the local share
of Adult Education for the year beginning July 1, 1994 and coding June 30, 1995.
RESOLVED, to authorize the School Committee to expend, for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1994 and ending Jure 30, 1995 from the state -local allocation, unexpended balances,
tuition receipts, local appropriation, state subsidy, and other receipts for the
support of schools ($656,684.60 from the State share of debt service, $686,378.00 from
tuition, rental and other local receipts, and $300,0001993-94 surplus) the sum of
$23,919,218.00.

foundation allocation the sum of $7,542,579.27 for the year beginning July 1, 1994 and
ending June 30, 1995 under the provisions of 20-A MRSA 15614.

including the estimated dollar amount of State retirement paymeds is provided for inclusion m

SUBJECT: Statutory Requirement Is: School Administrative Unite'
School Budget Document
Title 20-A, Section 15617. Paragraph 1, contains a requirement that School
administrative units include in their school budget document the fallowing:
"C. The following statement including the estimated dollar amount
of State retirement payments: 'This budget does not include
the estimated amount of 5............ in employer share of
teacher retirement costa that is paid directly by the State."'
The estimated amount of the employer share of teacher retirement costa paid
directly by the State Should be calculated by multiplying 16.61 percent times
the local General Fund FY 195 salaries of School administrative unit members of
the State Retirement System. (Federal and grant funded positions are net
included In the calculation.)
