Commentary:
THAT Chapter V. Artltle 1, Sections 15.
19, and 20 be amended by changing
three subsections 1 15.3.1. 19.4. and
20.4 ) to identify corrugated
cardboard as acepted item from the
acceptable PERC wastccallection
and also add this corrugated cardboard
to the recycling materials collected
This subject has been to the Municipal
Operations Committee, for review,
and has been discussed in a Council Workshop
on November 15, 1995. The pur
of the change is to officially add another
product to our recycling program
increase o ecyciing rate as well as
increasing our revenues from sales
of recycled product.

Be it ordeined by the City Commit of the City ofBants r, as @deans:
WHEREAS, The City ofBangorhas auiaterest in updating1he City's rubbish mdiwncesm
mm the changing mads of the Ciry; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bangor has au surest N promoting and expanding recycimg
efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it mdamed by the City Coward) of the City ofBamgm, as
follows:
(1) THAT Chapter V, Article, Section 15, Suhsectiom 15.3.1 be mumbled to read, as
follows:
15.3.1 Acceptable Solid Waste. Acceptable solid wale shall mem

(2) THAT Chapter V, Article 1, Section 19, Subsection 19.4 be amended to read, as
follows:
19.4 Handling. Waste must be placed in conmmete, bags, or
bundled in lengths not to exceed 4 feet Trash cans and bags shall not exceed
32 gallon capacity. Cans, bags, and bundles shall not exceed 30 pounds m
