The recommendation to award the contract to Harcroa Chemical Corp., the low responsive bidder at $34.49 was reviewed by the Finance Committee on September 18, 1995 and referred to the City Council with a recommendation for approval. The City uses approximately 3,500 ton of rock salt per season. The mnterial runs out without our being able to control the rate of application, We some problems with the last order of iWs material with regard to foreign particles in the salt and also with caking during the winter and moisture corpses. This token order will give us an opportunity W no if it in possible m use this Scandal productively in our sand/silt mix.
