CentN Maine Horley Davidson of Ranger wishes b sell the police department a 1995 Haley -Davidson
FCFITP ( police motorcycle) for 81.00 plus documentation fees (registration, title, ata). The Police
department would sell the motorcycle back to Central Maine Haley Davidson at the end of one per for
81.00. The department would have to pay for operating costa and malmemnce, plus any damage m the
vehicle if any occurred.

PROFOSAL
Central Maine Harley Davidson inc. of Bangor, as a public service desires to
provide a 1995 Harley Davidson FLHP, Police special motorcycle to the City of
Bangor for use in its Police Department for law enforcement, public services and
public relations events. -
In providing this service, after agreement from both parties CMHD will offer
subject motorcycle for a purchase price of $1 DO (plus document fees) for a period of
oneyear. At the conclusion of the yearpenod the City of Bangor will sell back
motorcycle for $1.00 (plus ornament fees)t During the City's ownership of subject
motorcycle CMHD request, at the Citys expense, to maintain routine se ace and
repairs specified by manufactures and CMHD. All such services to be provided duty
by Central Maine Harley Davidson.
The 1995 Harley Davidson FLHP B fully equiped for law enforcement field
service; fairings, sirens, saddle bags, etc. (communication equipment not included).

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENTis made and entered into as d tgg5
by and between Central Maine Harley Davidson, a Bangor Maine corporation with a
place of business located at RR ri 2 Box 4050 Bangor, Maine, and the City Of Bangor,
a municipal corporation with a place of busines located at 73 Harlow Street,
Bangor, Maine
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, Cental Maine Harley Davidson, as a public service, is desirous
ofproviding a motorcycle to the City of Bangor for use in its Police Department for
law enforcement, and
Whetea; the City of Bangor is desirous of having the use of the motorcycle;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the obligations and responsibilities
of the parties recited herein, Central Maine Harley Davidson, and the City of
Bangor agree as follows:
1. Central Maine Harley Davidson agrees to sell, and the City of Bangor
agrees to buy, a 1975 Harley Davidson FLHP Vin k_
for the sum of $1.00 and other valuable consideration, plus title documentation
fees in the amount of $26.011
2. On 1996, orsuchother date as may be mutually agreed
upon, The City of Bangor agrees to sell, and Central Maine Harley Davidson agrees
to buy, the subject motorcycle for the and of $to and other valuable consideration.
The city of Bangor agrees to asume any direct costs involved in transferring title of
said motorcycle to Central Mame Harley Davidson.
3. During the the entire period of the City's ownership of the said motorcycle,
The City of Bangor shall keep the subject motorcycle In good mechnical condition.
The City of Bangor shall be responsible, at its expense, for the following:
a. Ali oil, lubrication, parts, labor, repairand servicing as maybe
necessary for proper operation and protection of motorcycle. At least as frequent as
recommended by the Central Maine Harley Davidson and or the manufachirer All
Of such services to be provided by Central Maine Harley Davidson.
b. All parts, labor, repair, servicing and maintenance as may be
necessary to keep the subject motorcycle in such condition so that it will
satisfactorily comply with the motor vehicle inspection laws of the state of Maine.
All such services to be provided by Central Maine Harley Davidson.
The City of Bangor shall be responsilhe for the provision of all gasoline to be
used in said vehicle during the term of its ownership of the same.
4. The City of Bargor shall be responsible, at 05 expence, for the repair of any
damage to the motorcycle, occasioneed during its ownership of the same, in

accordance with the following
a. Any dented, bent, or broken parts of the motorcycle shall be
repaired, cumplaced, ffnecessary
b. Any glass, fairing or chrome which is sevedy scratched, cracked or
broken, shall be repaired or replaced, if necessary. Any broken, tom, damaged
seats, upholstery, saddlebags, or other motorcycle accessories shall be repaired or
replaced so as to be not unsightly
Provided, however, that the parties hereto agree that the City of Bangor not
be responsible for any damage attributable to masrnable wear and tear
Furthermore, the City of Bangor shall not be responsible for any damage arising
from the mechanical deficiencies of the motorcycle All such repairs, service of any
damage hereunder shall be proformed by Central Maine Harley Davidson. *As an
alternative to making an of the repairs hereunder, the City of Bangor shall option,
at its sole dec ebon, to pay Central Maine Harley Davidson, a sum equal to the
Kelly Blue Book or the NADA apprisial guide of the the subject motorcycle as of the
date of the damage in question.
5 The parties agree that the subject motorcycle shall be used for the purposes
carrying out official business of the City of Bangor's, PoliceDepartment, and that
the Chelf of Police shall be be responible for supervision of the use of the said
motorcycle.
6 The City of Bagor shall be responible for all charges or official fees,
registraffor, certificate of title, Bcensefees or taxes attributable to the said
motorcycle during the term of its ownership of the same.
7 Throughout the term of its ownership on the motorcycle, The City of
Bangor shall maintain liability insurance and physical damage insurance in
accordance with the City Of Bangor's customary insurance practices for its fleet of
vehicles, all as determined by the Citys Director of Finance.
IN WITHNESS THEROF, the parties have caused this Agreement to be
excuted on their behalf by their duly authorized representatives as of this day and
year first above written.
