Item No. 95-190
Date April 24, 1995
Item/Subject: Amending Chapter II, Article 13, Section 5 of the
Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor -- Police Department
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary: Council Ordinance $94-459 passed November 14, 1994
contained a citation error. The purpose of this Ordinance
amendment is to correct that error to avoid any question of Bangor
police officers' eztrajurisdictional authority. For this same
reason, it is requested that second reading be waived and that the
Ordinance amendment be enacted as an emergency to be effective upon
enactment by the Council. The Municipal Operations Committee
discussed this matter at its April 18, 1995 meeting.
