COUNCIL ACTION
Date March 27. 1995 Item No. 95-146
Item/Subject: Amending Sign Ordinance - Chapter VI, Article 3,
Section 5.5.3. - Locational Requirements
Responsible Department: Community 6 Economic Development
Commentary:
After a discussion of sidewalk signs at a Community 'Economic
Development Committee Meeting, Councilor Popper requested that an
amendment to this provision of the Sign Ordinance be prepared which
would provide for so -called -sandwich board" signs in other
commercialzones.
This amendment expands the locational
requirements of the existing sandwich board sign provisions to
provide standards for locations other than the downtown and adds
the other major commercial zoning districts as permitted locations.
