IN CITY COUNCIL March 15, 1995 First Heading CITY IN CITY COUNCIL March 27, 1995 Passed p i NEN0RANDON February 15, 1995 To: Bob Farrar From: Gayle Doyon/uv- RE: Detroit Diesel Engine 6V671N 95-233 Per our conversation this morning on the above engine. This engine was to be a purchase of a re -manufactured engine from Cargaest, purchase order number 951169. It turned out that Carquest could not fill the order and it went to Power Products. They also did not have an engine, but would re -manufacture our old engine from B-42. The engine was sent and when Power Products tore it down they discovered that two heads were cracked increasing the cost of re -manufacturing. Council Order N 95-10 appropriated $8,500.00 for the repair and the invoice in at $9,243.50, a difference of $943.50. The Federal portion of this is $9,394.80 and local share is $1,848.70, $148.70 over. Joe would like to split the cost 50/50 with the Old Town Equipment Reserve account. Debbie Cyr informed me that we would have to go back to the QiB Council for approval of the increased amount and that Joe rd,P 9 will be getting approval from the MOOT community managers, Wt(1 3b w-`0.
