Flag or banner installations are limited to advertising or announcing civic, charitable and non-profit events being held in the region, with priority given to Bangor events in the case of conflict, provided the Bangor event has been booked at least 30 days in advance of the regional event. The Director of the Bangor Auditorium/Bass Park may apply to utilise the Main/Buck location for any event being held at Bass Park or the Civic Center. The entity holding said ant shall be responsible for all expenses associated with hanging its banner at that location. 2. Use of the banner lash-up shall be booked through the Code Enforcement Office and use of the lash-up shall be limited to 14 days. Bookings may only be received for events up to 6 months in advance of the event. 3. The Code Enforcement Office will maintain a calendar schedule to verify availability and avoid schedule conflicts. 4. Upon receipt of a written application to display a banner, accompanied by a processing fee of 810.00, the Code Enforcement Office shall review said application, and if i compliance with these regulations and applicable Ordinances, will mail a confirmation letter to the applicant along with copy of these regulations. The application shall, at a minimum, contain the information required by Chapter VI, Article 1, Section 3 of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor S. The banner must have rolled edges and be double stitched with grommets every twelve (12) inches. Also, the banner must have holes for free air flow. The banner shall not exceed three (3) feet in height. 6. It shall be the responsibility of the applicant to obtain the services of a sign company or other company* with a bucket truck to install the banner. The company hired to install the banner shall provide satisfactory evidence to the City of comprehensive general liability insurance. During installation and removal of the banner, the company performing the work shall take all necessary precautions and safety measures appropriate for performing utility work in a public right-of-way. 95-5a y. The applicant is also responsible to have the banner removed at the and of the allotted time. My banner not removed by the data specified in the confirmation letter shall be removed by the City of Bangor and the owner/organization will be billed for and be responsible for the costs of removal. B. My banner improperly attached, damaged by weather o otherwise determined to be a danger to the public's health and safety shall be removed, ved, by the City, without notice to n the o er/organization,and the owner/organisation will be billed for and be responsible for all costs incurred by the City during such removal.
