Meeting convened at 4:05 p.m
1. New DEP Testing Requirements

$50, but a suit and mask will also be needed and the ten requires two people. Staff has questions

setting these limits. Staff will keep the Committee informed ofacy new developments with these
new testing requirements.
2. DEP Delegation Meeting Held on 7/15
Brad informed the Commitee that the City's license fee will be reduced Rom $5,400 to $4,500 the
Bra year and then will go back up to 55,400 per year thereafter. A two year program will be

DEP representative for Bangor previously worked for the Iand Bureau and is knowledgable
about the City and easy to work wah. Crusader Falvum asked if the City still warns to support
delegation and if it is important to dothat, but capla'vted that the DBP has been given delegated
authosty, and in some respects staff would rather deal with flu state. Ed Barret suggested that
the City make the offer to have the people that are bind intern at the treatment plain for a time.

3. Herman Sewer Dodate

Bangor's system. Staff has been reviewing these[ of plans and [making any changes or
suggestions with respect to the sewer and location. This system will bring service to the
Coldbrook area vu Odliv [toad and convey the City's existing facilities in the Mod Road area.
Woodward and Curran am Election's consultants and Bangor s affhas been working very closely
with them on ibis issue
Bids on the CSO tanks project components were received meardy and staffexpects to
advertise soon for the installation. Construction should be underway the latter part of
August.
Brad, Jim and John Murphy have bcenworlong onan agreement with Sawyer. Hampden
end Hermon agreements are m piece. The capacity that they've indicated that they would
like to purchase in the City'a plant represents an investment on their part ofappodi ately
s VA,000.
CSO Partnership Legislation: The bill has been introduced and is being sponsored by John
Baldacci. Staffaill continue to update the Committee
StormwaterB: The nine minimum controls set by the EPA are still under discussion PFA
has hired a technical subcontractor to do case studies on how eBe hive these have been.
Bangor will likely be included in the case study reports. Information will be forthcoming.
