Pm Ring updatedthe Committee on the Water Dislda's needs for the year 2000 compliance. The
City and Water Diana caremlyjoim bill for both sewer and water. The District has received
proposals and responses to an RFP for their financial package and have looked at a number of
different suppliers and packages. They are leaving toward ADS in Bangor as a supplier of a
combination ofthe financial package Solomon and the utility billing package Auto -Admin. One
aspect the City needs m complete this package is the ability m deal with sewer liens. The proposal
from AD.S includes the utility billing ant software but the has package has yet to be developed,
which would be sometime later new year. Rah the City and the Dicoria are asrtmtly operating on
Use Demon software package and have had problems with this package. Alta the District upgrades
their financial package, it is corrected that we will continue with the Gemini software until the new
software, including the hien package, becomes available. Council" Farnham asked if the financial
system will impact the City? Ron Halla explained thw the financial system would not. The City
wood be ivtafeang only with their billing system. Ji commented that one thing the City may have
W do during the interim is some upgrade to the current system because of problems.
2. Surma of proem
Ben updated the Committee on the various engineering projects throughout the City.
The precast sections are being insulted on the Davis Brook Tank project. The concrete being
broken up is remnants of the old structures and is not being hauled o6 because it will be
incorporated in a piece of the bulkhead replacement.
The Nunn Street sewer separation project was awarded to Campbell Concoction Compmy.
They will start work new week. Past of this work and restoration of the amut will also
provide additional on -street parking.
The project taking place in Judson Heights with regard m the Colangelo issue has begun. The
blasting has started. The City is not doing the work except for the sewer, but there is an
inspep" from the City at the site.

Tm commented that projects were moving along and the department has been busy.
There will be an order appearing on the vet Council agenda which will authorize the City
Manager to execute a release deed for a sewer easement the City no longer needs. Jim
provided a sketch W the Committee. The easement is located on Bangor Mall Blvd., near
Wendy's Restaurant.
