Thurston, Police Department Jim S Pat Blanchette Dennis Braley 1. Bequest for Use of Tables an Sidewalk - Bralev's Luncheonette The Committee approved a reguen: by Dermis Braley for outside tables and diairs for his restaurant on Main Street during the swmer months. 2. on -Street Parking - Capehart. The Blanchettes discussed their request with fire Coamittee regarding m- " street parking in the Capebart area. They iiicated the streets are out wide enough to acoammdate parking on both sides and still permit safe travel for pedestrians ai traffic. They especially pointed out streets going W the schools where diildren Tuve to walk in the streets as there are an sidewalks. Also mentioned was the fact that emergency vehicles reed more room to safely pass tlu'ough the streets in Capehart. The Committee Suggested that Lt. Thurston ai the NeighborhoodWatch Committee at Capehart get together to institute a plan for restricted Parking an half of the streets in Capehart and then cart back W the Committee for final s rcval. Councilor Gass sggestei ding half of the streets ani then the remaining half depending on the results of the restricted parking. 3. Unit identification - Capehart. The Committee agreed to ssi a letter W the Director of the Housing Bwsing requesting them W renumber the housing units for easier identification especially for police, fire and ambulance services. She letter will be addressed to Gerald Robertson, EreWtive Director, with a o-Yy W Commissioner Robert Toole. Committee adjourned at 8:30 a.m. 4e
