1. Waverly Restaurant
Jim and Paul Puiia of the Waverly Restaurant were present to
discuss their request to do outdoor catering through the summer
months on Saturdays and Sundays wing a tent in the corner of
a Citi parking lot to serve food and draft beer. Their request
also included weekday catering in downtown including the banks
of the Kenduskeag Stream and Penobscot River.
The Committee felt the request was too broad, with no specific
datesconcerning the weekday catering, and asked that the City
Manager meet with the appropriate City department heads and to
return to the Public Safety Committee with their recommendation.
2. Wendy Clancy - Flower Vending Wagon.
The Committee unanimously approved the request of Wendy Clancy
to operate a flower vending wagon in the West Market Square
area throughout the summer months with the exception of Festival
Week (June 29 -July 8) whereby it will have to be coordinated
through Lynda Clyve's office.
Committee adjourned at 4:02 p.m.
