Recommendation of no increases in all fees. Memberships and
green fees are
competitive with other courses. Capital
improvements left to do: cart paths, paving, upgrading
maintenance building and automatic watering system.
Recommendation to go ahead and get started on the irrigation
system to be completed by 1998.
Item 2. •al Needs -- The Hua:
Robert Farrar discussed the ongoing need to replace transit
busses. The consultant developed a schedule that would replace 2
busses in 1990, 3 in 1999 and 1 in the year 2000. Would like to
receive approval for the City Manager to submit a letter of
intent to the State NOT which would allow them to explore other
possibilities and to seek Federal funds. At this point there is
not sufficient funding available in the grant program that would
pay for the federal share of the busses that need to be
purchased. If we are not able to follow the schedule, as
recommended by the consultant, we would be severely limited and
only buying a bus a year over the next several years. Six of our
current busses have about 350,000 miles on them, 10 years old,
and meet both mileage and year requirement as established by the
federal transit authority for replacement. would like to allow
the state to search for additional matching funds; the city will
have to match those matching funds with a 208 local coat.
Estimated if all 5 busses were to be replaced, the local share
would be in the range of approx. $170,000. Recommendation
approved.
