1. 1999 Rates for Bangor Municipal Golf Course
Chigees suggested by staff
Under family membership, staff has added, "Juniors playing on a family membership may
not play before 2:00 pro. on weekends unless they are playing with their parents."
Juniors permit holders "cannot too off between 4:00 & 6:00 pma on weekdays."
Hthe individual is renting, they must include then landlord's name and phone number.
I Senior permit polders....'Ynust be residents or real estate taxpayers ofBangm..'
Seeson permits (except juniors) include "four nine hole passes._"
Staffrmommends no changes in the current basic rates for the 19W season.
There is some question as to low to address"property owner or taxpayer". Thereisalimited
number of memberships for the golf course and memberships are sold quickly. Councilor
Blanchette feels that the golf course should be open to Bangor residents that live in the City and
that business owners that live is another town should not be considered a"resident." Ed Barrett
suggested that they make the change so that people who have had permits wouldn't be forced
cut. Councilor Farnham understands the personal property tax holder not being admissible but if
an individual owns Teat estate in the City, they should be allowed membership. It is suggested to
use staff s recommendation of real estate taxpayer until the limited number ofinemberships
becomes an issue. Approved.
2. City Nuning Fac0ity Room Rate Increase
This is the last increase in a series of three to bring ones for private paying residents up to a level
where they exceed the facility's costs and up to a level that is closer to what other facilities in the
area charge. The change will go into effem starting January 1, 1999. Approved.
