1. Fees for Dental Clinic.
The Committee unanimously agreed to ebaege the Dental Clinic fee
structure to reflect 1008 of the current Office of Management and Budget
(CM) guidelines. The Clinic currently operates at 1008 of the 1983 CM
guidelines. The suglested cbange by the azministration would allow mxe
p le W become, eligible to take advantage of the Dental Clinic program.
Councilor Willey expressed concern about any increase in public service
aubsidizatim indicating that by this than9e the City was net providing
people incentive to improve their situation.
The Cmnittee also agreed that the Dental Clinic could take people
currently on their waiting list within the 100-1258 OM guidelines for a
six-month trial basis on the condition that the fee be paid upfront at
Medicaid rates.. The Centel Clinic is W report back to the Comnittce in
January. Councilor Frankel seconded this notion made by Councilor Willey.
2. Fees for W Clinic.
The Committee agreed W raise the fee for the w Clinic from 815 to $20
per visit.
3. CooMination of School Nurses and Public Health Nurses.
The Committee agreed that a letter struM be cent to the State
Department of Education suggesting that the two areas be cooMinated under
me department in order to coordinate nursing care in the City especially as
it relates to children and W receive reimbursement for the six-month
coverage for the nurses.
Anne Anleipman, of the Sctool Department, arrived
late for the meeting.Tbe letter will be written by Chairman Bono.
