Community Development. rhe Committee approved two property rehabilitation loans. They further approved this disposition of Lot 43, Map 49 to lot 44, Map 49 with the provision that the cwwm of Iota 42 ad 42A of Map 49 each be granted written permission to park one nnXa vehicle each therein. 2. Christmas Daccrat' re. rhe Oamnittee approved the request of Cashman Phillips to purchase additional Christmas decorations for Exchange, Hammad, Washington and Main Streets. A Council Order will appear on the July 8th agenda authorizing the amount of $3,000 to be transferred from the Contingent Account to the City Council amount to cover the contribution to the d'rwntam Christmas lighting project. 3. Water District. The Committee approved retirement benefit payments for Bangor Water District employees. The City Solicitor told the Committee that the employees originally were hired by the City and therefore it was the City's responsibility to pay the herefits. Men the employees trans- ferred to the water District, the funds were put into a retirement - axunt. The City Solicitor 1Adicated that although the amounts paid into the fund are smaller than what may be expected in payments that the City has the obligation to honor tic benefits. The balance of the mtireumm benefits will be paid by the Water District on a sharing basis with the syston. 4. Bids: a. The Committee approved award of bid contingent upon approval of transfer of fords. b. Generator at Police Department. T Committee approved award of Tin to the Lem Go.; the lou bidder, at $12,943.00. c. Welfare Food hummses. The Committee approved award to the IGA. Adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
