This is to mise and codify the City's Code of Ordinances. The contract will include 100 copies
of the printed code. It will take approximately one year to do this. Approved

The request is for me 4 -wheel drive vehicle to be used by the Commanding Officers. The larger
vehicle will allow more gearto be stored inside the vehicle. Therearealsoareasinthe Citythat
a 4wheel drive is needed in order to get to them Special training will be required by anyone
driving the vehicle act high-speed chases will not be allowed in the vehicle. After the vehicle
has been used for a couple of years as the Commanding Officer's vehicle it would be passed
down to the Course Officer. The Canine Officer has no place to put a prisoner because the
canineisinthebackseat. Approved

This work would include the conversion of approximately 775 square feet of storage space into
duce offices and theinstallation of nine replacement windows. Building is located on Florida
Avenue end is correctly rented by International Paper Corp. and Industrial Hygiene of New
England. Approved

The Bangor Water District wants to not a water line to be located between Lane end Dexter
Streets. Approved

$1,700 was outstanding on this bill that Bangor Savings Bank has since paid and hus requested
that the title go back to Mr. Blanow. Property taxes are current. Approved

The Bangor Furniture building on lfzmmond Street is under contract. The owner has asked if
prior to closing they could receive an agreement from the City releasing its interest m the
property. Staff recommends that more information is needed W insure that stipulations can be
met. This issue is tabled until a future meeting.
An abatement was previously granted to Christina Goddard for her 1996 and 1997 property
taxes. On Jammy 3, 1997, Ms. Ooddad paid her 1995 taus. The tax fien had maimed at this
point, therefore a municipal quitclaim dead is necessary for the City to release its interest.
Approved.

For a number of years a condominium project off Firearm Avenue had common lad that wen
still held by the original developer. The developers ownership expired in 1992. The common
ownership was assessed to the Condominium Association in 1994, 95 and 1996, which legally
could not be done. The abatement of taxes would be as being assessed in error. Approved.

ALL monies have been received from EMMC for the rental of Cascade Park parking lot
($7,920.00). Request is W appropriate this to the Capital Reserve for the pink. This would give
a mal of approximately $51,000. It is anticipated tha the money would be used this year to
begin some ofthe major work onthe grotto walls. Rawmmended.

An appropriation of $60,000 will be needed from the Fire Equipment Replacement Reserve to
purchase this ambulance. Recommended.

The Committee previously asked for an update on the statue of Sawyer Area's financial
operations. Dae ThimaWt explained that the since the March S memo to the City Manager, the
up -t datefig sshowarevenueof$131,217insteadof$106,573. Experaesthrough February
are$128,643. Revenue was lost through losing Brewer and llsmpden Youth Hockey and high
school and three other teams from MMA, ENM and Penobscot Tavel Team. Staff feels that
rabies rates go up, revenues will not increase. Dae feels one thing that might improve the
facility would be in be a year-round operation. Sports such as roller -hockey, roller blaring, field
hockey,andsoccercoWdbemninthamrility. Bysmyingopenyear-mund, the facilitycould
unrest the sports popular during those two seasons that it is closed. Dale feels the expenses
would be lights, and a stuff person N work during open bows. Smffbas spoken with different
contmcmrs about making Sawyer ayear-round facility and the figure to do dds would be
between $30,000 and $4,000 to cement and $40,000 for the mat to go into the some. Committer
recommended staff reserver has Sulfur.
Ron Heller and David Little have collaborated and written a series of programs that access the
