I. Executive Session Hardship Abatement ReauesJi
The Committee voted to grant a partial abatement and suggested that a
workout agreement be entered into in the amount of $1,500 for a two year
period. Should a default occur on this agreement, the original judgement in
the full amount shall he recorded.
2. Executive Session Hardship Abatement Request:
Tabled for a future meeting.
3. Bids:
a. Guardredl Installation (Public Works Department)
Hardwick Fence, Inc. of Bangor ($8,348.50)
Guardrails needed for Valley Avenue and Outer Hammond
Street. Approved.
ID. Police Cruisers (Motor Pool/Police)
Whited Ford of Bangor ($21,000/each)
Recommendation is to buy 3 Gtown Victories for $21,000 and go
out to bid for a 4 -wheel drive full size sport utility vehicle.
Approved.
4. Extension of Contract for Airport Uniform Rentals
Recommendation is to renew the current contract with Unifirst at
existing prices. Recommended that the employee pay half the cost.
Approved.
5. Extension of Contract with CH2M-11II.GTreatment Plant
Due to changes in the project and additional services needed to
complete the Kenduskeag Pump Station and Treatment Plant project
it is recommended to approve Extension of Contract and additional
costs. Costs are within generally accepted percentages of total
construction cost. Approved.
6. Transfer of Funds for Special Municipal Election
Recommended for passage.
7. Reauestf Refund fTax Overoavment
Kenneth and Dolores Proctor pad full 1996 taxes on a mobile home in
Bangor. They moved this mobile home to Harmony and received a tax
bill from Harmony for Fiscal year 96 and this year overlaps Bongs by
five months. Maine Municipal feels that this is not a double taxation
situation, however, Erik feels it is. Approved.
