Hugh Morrison Tina Baker, University College faculty Harie Lou Cormier, University College faculty The meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM. AGENDA ITEM J1 - C.O. 94-339 Handicapped Parking on Harlow St. A request to relocate handicapped parking in front of the Post office on Harlow Street has been received. The existing location makes it difficult for handicapped persona to get to the Post office. Chapter III, Article 6, Schedules IL and VI will be oneaded to the Downtown Parking Management District Map in order to make for a safer, more accessible .parking area for handicapped persons. AGENDA ITEM 42 - Hr. Joe Philippon, 208 Prench Street Mr. Philippon was not able to attend the meeting and, therefore, this issue was tabled. AGENDA ITEM p3 - Planning Update John Lord updated the conmittes on two itemewhich were. scheduled for the upcoming Council meeting. This included 2 contract sone changes. xi AGBWDA ITMM R4 - Discussion Regarding the Future of University College Councilor Baldacci was recently approached by University College staff requesting that the Bangor City Council consider taking a position on options relating to the future of the Bangor campus. At Councilor ealdacci's request, the issue has been brought before the CaDD Committee for discussion. Staff from the University of Maine's Public Affairs office, Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce representatives, and University College faculty Were also present to participate in the discussion. Tina Baker and Mary Lou Cormier of the University College staff expressed their concern about the pending affiliation of University College with the Community College of Maine rather than the University of Maine (as determined by the UMS trustees). John Diamond of the UMo Public Affairs office explained the rationale of this decision and the process to be used during the next year to implement this decision. With no other business at hand, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 PX. rp
