Martial, C.D. Housing Resources Coordinator John Lord, Planning Officer Jim Ring, City Engineer Dan Wellington, Code Erdbreement Officer Norm Heimmum, Asst City Solicitor Crary Jewell, Parking Supervisor OTHERS PRESENT: John Rahman, WBRC Andrew Hamilton, Carl., Eaton, Peabody. PA. The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair, Councilor James Tyler at approximately 5:05 PM. He then entertained a motion to go into Escranu a Session to hear Item W regarding land disposition. Secorukd; so moved. Executive Session began at 5:05 PM and adjourned at 5:18 PM, ITEM _#j- Council Order 97-96 - Chapter VB, Article 3 -International Mechanical Code Dan Wellington updated the Committee on the Mechanical Code portion of the National BOCA Code. This has been delayed in being updated in anticipation of the three major code authorities in the U.S., BOCA, SCB and UBC joining together to produce a single mechartical code which would be recognized internationally. This is the fust step in unifying codes. A motion was made and summed b recommend this item w presented m the full Council. So voted. ITEM 92 - Council Order 97-W -Amending Chapter BI, Art. 6, Schedule V of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor - Parking Prohibited Except for Loading and Unloading for Commercial Uses and Taxicabs - Oak Street This amendment will change this loading sone wren to a 2 -how parking space. A motion was made and seconded to approve this item as presented. So voted. IUM j,}- Code Enforcement Update Dan Wellington, Code Enforcement Officer, stated that on the upcoming Council agenda for Monday, febmary 101h, there is an Order appointing him as the local plumbing inspector due to Loony Smith's illness and subsrluent retirement. ITEM 44 -Planning Update John Lord, Planning Officer, reported no items from the Planning Dowd this week. However, me Comprehensive Plan Committee is being revived as a format ur review changes wbich will bring the Plan in align with the Gwv N Management Law. ITEM #5- Commm ity Development Residential Rehabilitation Loan - 810 Chester Place,4 units Approved. SEMt1¢-Community Development Residential Rehab. Loan -133] Hammond, Mobile Home Approved. With no lumber business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:42 PM.
