Present: Councilor Al Weymouth, Chairman
Councilor Claire Porter
Ted Jellison, Finance Director
Joe McNeil, Bus Superintendent
Tom Kurth, E.M.D.C.
The Committee discussed the recommendation outlined by letter
from Tom Kurth to the Bus Superintendent concerning several changes
to be made in The Bus service. The Committee unanimously approved
the following and a council orderwill be prepared for the upcoming
September 13th agenda.
(1) Reduce the frequency of Saturday service on the Center
Street and Hammond Street routes;
(2) Reduce the frequency of service to the Holiday Park
area on Outer Essex Street;
(3) Merge the 5:10 and 5:40 p.m. runs on Center Street
into a 5:30 p.m. service; and
(4) Reroute the primary pattern of Center Street service
to exclude the portion between. Center -Linden and
Kenduskeag to the Bangor Gardens.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
