1. Report on New Section III Grant Application. Charles Martin,
PVRPC, broug t t e commarree mem ers up to date on the
status of this application.
2. PUC Petition. A motion was made and seconded to petition the
Pubes -Utilities Commission for the following changes to be
made in the Citibus operation. Joe McNeil will work with
City Solicitor Bob Miller to draw up an Order to be on the
City Council agenda for February 22, 1982.
1. Elimination of zone transferso
2. Half fare for transfers - 25C for one zone
3. Elimination of one bus from Saturday service from the
Old Town run
4. Reduction in runs to the University Mall
6:24, 6:36, 7:24, 7:36 a.m.
4:24, 4:36, 5:24, 5:36 p.m.
5. Consolidation of the 5:00 and 5:40 p.m. runs from State
Street to a 5:20 p.m. bus run
6. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, elimination of one bus
between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
7. Reroute UMO bus from the Steam Plant to the Memorial
Union
8. Fare Changes:
Bangor to Veazie 50c to 50c
Bangor to Orono 75C to 1.00
Bangor to Old Town 1.00 to 1.25
Ray Cote also reported that the Dniveraity of Maine is increasing
its contribution to the Citibus to $5,000, and they requested a
billing for that amount.
3. Report
on Metro olitan Plannin Or anization. Charles Martin in-
orme t e Committee that t rs Organization cannot be officially
formed until Maine Department of Transportation receives a map
from the Census Bureau which defines the urbanized area under
the SMSA designation.
4. Next Meeting of the Committee. April 8th at 11:00 a.m.
