Action Taken: A Certificate of Appropriateness was granted/denied by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the existing mounting brackets be utilized. Item No. 2 22-24 Hayward Street – Joesph T. Walsh and Katherine M. Walsh To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove and replace with same materials stone-brick basement wall(s) 21’ rear; 6’ east side. Install small basement window middle rear walls; remove 21’ x 3’ deck and replace two small porches with steps. Replace sill where necessary. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted/denied by a vote of 5 to 0. 1 Item No. 3 91 Main Street – Martha St. Onge To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review stnd approval to remove awnings on 1 and 2 stories; remove peeling plywood sign and replace with fresh wood, primed and painted to match brickwork. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted/denied by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the peeling plywood panel be removed and either paint the underlying brick work to match the surrounding brick work, but if brick work contains to much damage then replace with plywood panel painted to match existing brickwork. Item No. 4 212 Kenduskeag Avenue – James and Ellen Tobin To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness to replace the existing metal roofing on porches and flat roof sections with rubber membrane. There will be no changes to trim work. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted/denied by a vote of 5 to 0. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. 2
