Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted / denied by a vote of 4 to 0. Item No. 2 214 Cedar Street – Stephen and Lizabeth Schley To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a covered porch. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted / denied by a vote of 4 to 0. Item No. 3 61 Main Street – J Group To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install a second floor window sign. Action Take: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted / denied by a vote of 4 to 0. Item No. 4 99 Franklin Street – Sign Services Inc To consider a request for Design Review approval to install three wall signs on the fourth floor. Action Taken: Design Review approval granted / denied by a vote 4 to 0 with the condition that the lighting be tabled. Item No. 5 191 Broadway – Phillip and Elena Sykes To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a 4’ high wooden fence, install a 6’ high white plank fence with topper, construct arbor with solid plank gate, construct 12” high dry-stack stone wall, construct 18”-24” high dry-stack stone wall, install a pond and landscaping. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted / denied by a vote of 4 to 0. Item No. 6 59 Park Street – Verizon Communications To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove two existing windows and replace with two louvers (within existing masonry openings.) Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted / denied by a vote of 4 to 0. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 10 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
