Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted / denied by a vote of 5 to 0. Item No. 2 193-195 & 197-199 Exchange Street – Ames A/E for Protea Behavioral Health To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval for façade renovations, and the construction of a mezzanine, which will include an addition, alterations, and new construction. The roof, exterior woodworks, windows, and exterior doors will be affected by this project. The applicant proposes to repair in kind, matching original features and materials. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted / denied by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that front façade and store front be resubmitted under a new permit application. Item No. 3 198 Broadway – John and Lynda Rohman To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace the chimney and the barn and sun porch foundation to match existing and the construction of new steps / porch. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted / denied by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that a stainless steel black cap be installed on chimney to match. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
